Mercy Mburu

Mercy moved to Maasai Mara when she was 19. She has built a worldwide community of friends and supporters through her enthusiasm and joy for helping others. She has been part of building 5 schools and has built 2 of her own. Mercy has 4 children and dozens of adopted sponsor children under her wing. Currently hosting in two locations for education and women’s empowerment along with community projects.

Emmah Wangari Mburu

A graduate with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Emmah is a team leader with a passion for a greater life for Kenyans. Emmah has worked with the community for over 10 years and has a great understanding of the challenges affecting the community and solutions to most of these challenges. She lives and hosts volunteers in the Gatunga region. She is focused on empowering women and education for children but also hosts large groups for medical camps.

Francis (Fudge) Mburu

Co-Founder and director of DGF. Fudge is the foundations accountant holding a Bachelor’s in business administration and certified public accountant. He is hard working, caring and ready to help in any situation.

Lace Scott

Lace comes from the US and Australia with a masters in psychology and 20 years in early childhood development. She met Mercy Mburu in 2009 and always had plans to make Kenya a part of her life. She now spends 4-6 months a year to help expand the reach of DGF and build on what Mercy and Emmah have accomplished. Lace has become a member of the communities in Maasai Mara and Chavakali.
